Kara Wallace (Ngāpuhi, Ngaituteauru) is a wife & māma to beautiful sons. She has a Bachelor of Visual Arts & PGDIP majoring in Photography from Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau, AUT. Kara is a Project Manager Exhibitions at Whare Taonga Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland Museum, and worked for over twelve years Curating and Project Managing for Corban Estate Arts Centre, Fresh Gallery Ōtara, Papakura Art Gallery, Studio One Toi Tū and Māngere Arts Centre Ngā Tohu o Uenuku.
In the last five years she has been on a journey to reclaim her Māoritanga and on her Reo Māori Journey she has studied beginners level 1 & 2 Reo Māori at Te Ara Poutama, Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau, AUT just before Covid & while she was hapū with her second tama. Last year she completed Te Ara Reo Māori L3 & 4 (He Pī Ka Rere) through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa & undertaking Rōnakitanga L5 this year.
