Koloamatangi. An exploration of New Works by Siniva Williams; Curated and Accompanying Text Written by p.Walters.
Opening March 1st 11am
The artist writes:
“Koloamatangi; a tribute and offering to my Nanna Siniva and the divine treasures she created, not only in her art but also through the memories she instilled in me.
The name Koloamatangi itself carries profound significance, with Koloa meaning “Treasures” or “Goods" and Matangi meaning "Wind"; as well as an ancestral surname within my own Whakapapa.
This name perfectly captures the essence of the work presented—each aspect a koloa, a treasure and extension of my Nanna's legacy.”
