My favourite Fijian kakana includes: kokoda (marinated raw fish), balolo (deep seaworm) fritters, ika vakalolo (fish in coconut cream), nama (seagrapes) and ota (fern leaf) with miti (seasoned coconut milk), suruwa (seafood curry, mud or land crab in particular with lots of rice and roti) and of course panikeke (fried pancakes, banana is best).

Who’s in the Moana Fresh fale?
