Lydiana Cosgrave is an artist of Tokelauan and Irish heritage based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Growing up in Papua New Guinea she was exposed to strong cultural influences. While moving back to Aotearoa for high-school was a cultural and social shock that triggered a struggle with her identity, her interest in art and photography grew as she felt being creative enabled her to find a sense of self and joy.
Her passion for Pasifika arts has strengthened over the years as she developed a deeper appreciation and curiosity for her Tokelauan language & culture.
